Governor Bush to Announce Florida's Participation With the U.S. Pavilion at the World Expo 2005 in Japan

CORAL GABLES, Fla., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Please join Governor Bush and Lisa Gable, U.S. Commissioner General to the World Expo 2005, at a reception where they will announce Florida's participation in the 63rd Annual World's Fair, Expo 2005. To be held today, Friday, February 4th from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Governor Bush and Commissioner Gable will be joined by Florida's First Lady Columba Bush, The Honorable Makazu Toshikage, Japan's Consul General to Florida, and local elected and business leaders.

The World Expo 2005 will be held in the Aichi Prefecture, Japan, from March 25th through September 25th, 2005. Business and political leaders from around the world will be among the estimated 15 million visitors to the Expo. Of the 122 country exhibits, the U.S. Pavilion is expected to be a major attraction that celebrates nature, progress, and human achievement, with its theme dedicated to "The Franklin Spirit." U.S. Pavilion sponsors include leading American-based companies and organizations and several U.S. states to include Florida.
