SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Exploring the South Pacific just got a little easier with the Oceania Pass offered by Aircalin on its route network.

The pass is simple to use and extremely flexible. Available only to passengers residing outside the South Pacific, the Oceania Pass must be purchased before departure in conjunction with travel on any transpacific airline. A minimum of two coupons must be purchased and reservations made in advance of travel. Additional coupons may be obtained on arrival at any Aircalin office. Each coupon is valid for a one-way flight and the cost varies by the destination to or from Aircalin's hub in Noumea, New Caledonia.

Between Noumea and Nandi or Port Vila, each coupon is $160. Between Auckland, Brisbane or Sydney and Noumea, each coupon costs $220 and $340 between Papeete and Noumea. Local taxes are not included.

Special children fares are also available when accompanied by an adult on the Oceania Pass. Children ages two through 12 qualify for a 25 percent discount off the adult fare while infants less than two years, fly for only 10 percent of the adult fare.

Another winning feature of Aircalin's Oceania Pass includes the ability to change dates without a penalty as long as the itinerary remains the same. If a coupon has to be reissued, there is a $50 change fee.

Founded in 1983, Aircalin operates three Airbus (A330 and A320) aircraft with service to more than 10 international destinations in the South Pacific including Australia, Fiji, Japan, New Zealand, Tahiti, Vanuatu and Wallis and Futuna. The carrier provides two classes of service that feature complimentary beverages with traditional French cuisine and entertainment including movies, TV, audio, games, telephones and iXplore(TM), a new on board flight path entertainment system.
