MESA, AZ, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the largest annual assemblies of Canadians outside Canada is about to gather at the Canadian Snowbird Celebration. Several thousand Canadians are expected Tuesday, February 15 at Mesa Centennial Hall. The Canadian Snowbird Celebration is a mixture of information and entertainment and is hosted by the Canadian Snowbird Association.

"All Canadian snowbirds and their American friends are welcome at this free event," says Gerry Brissenden, president of the CSA. "The Canadian Snowbird Celebration is a celebration of a unique lifestyle that brings thousands of Canadians each year to Arizona."

Canada is the number one source of international visitors to Arizona. Three hundred thousand Canadians visit Arizona each year, and spend more than $300 million. Snowbirds often stay up to six months in Arizona.

"RVing in Arizona is very popular among snowbirds," says Brissenden, "but Arizona has so much to offer that many snowbirds will stay in one place. They put down roots in Arizona, and make friends with their American neighbours. We will have a lot of American friends at the Canadian Snowbird Celebration."
