Ghost Stories, Film History, Pomo Culture Will Be Part of Mendocino Heritage Days Event

MENDOCINO, Calif., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ — The Victorian Village of Mendocino, perched on the beautiful North Coast of California, today announced 40 indoor and outdoor events for its annual Heritage Days celebration, Friday, April 29, through Sunday, May 8.

The 10-day celebration will feature dozens of activities, including films made with the Village as a backdrop, history lectures, walking tours, shipwreck lore, historic photo exhibits, wildflower walks and a full-moon cemetery tour.

The activities will take place throughout the town, which is a historic preservation district, and in local state parks.

“We have 20,000 years of history to celebrate from the earliest Native American settlements to gold rush shipwrecks and Mendocino’s early days as a Coastal logging boomtown,” explained Nancy Freeze, a Heritage Days coordinator.
