US Airways Offers Sweetheart Deals With Three-Day Fare Sale

ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — US Airways is offering sweetheart deals on travel to destinations across its system for three days only, with domestic fares starting at $59* each way, and international fares as low as $79* each way. Sale fares are based on required roundtrip purchase.

Under this sale, tickets must be purchased by Feb. 16, 2005. Travel must be completed by May 19, 2005, for U.S. and Canada destinations; by March 25 for non-seasonal European destinations; on select dates between May 9 and June 9, 2005, for seasonal European destinations**; and between March 29 and April 30, 2005, for Caribbean and Latin American destinations.

Fares shown are each way based on required roundtrip Coach travel. For the fares shown, service is provided by US Airways except where noted. *Taxes and fees: Fares shown are valid for purchases made at Tickets purchased through US Airways telephone reservations are $5 higher. Tickets purchased at US Airways airports or city ticket offices are $10 higher. Fares do not include a federal excise tax of $3.20, which will be imposed on each flight segment of the itinerary — a flight segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Fares do not include the September 11th Security Fee of up to $10 per itinerary. Fares to Canada do not include a federal immigration fee of $7 per roundtrip, Canadian airport fees of $13 per roundtrip and the Canada Air Traveler Security charge of $10 per roundtrip. Sale fare requirements: Tickets must be purchased at least seven days in advance of travel for U.S. and Canada destinations (three days for Europe and Caribbean/Latin America), within 24 hours of making the reservation, and no later than Feb. 16, 2005. For U.S. and Canada destinations, a minimum one- night or Saturday-night stay may be required, depending on the market. For the Caribbean/Latin America, a minimum two-night or Saturday-night stay is required, whichever comes first. For Europe, a Saturday-night stay is required. For the Caribbean/Latin America and Europe, a maximum 30-day stay is allowed. **For seasonal Europe destinations, fares for travel to Barcelona are valid May 16-June 9, 2005; fares for travel to Dublin, Shannon, and Venice are valid May 9-31, 2005. Fares shown are valid for travel Mondays-Thursdays.

After the initial reservation, cancellations or changes are permitted for up to 24 hours; after 24 hours, tickets become nonrefundable. If the entire reservation is canceled on or before the scheduled date of travel, the ticket will retain value and can be used toward another nonrefundable ticket less a $100 US Airways administrative fee ($200 for Europe), up to one year after its original issue date. New travel must originate within one year from the date of issue. Any subsequent changes to the exchanged tickets will incur at minimum an additional $100 fee ($200 for Europe). If the reservation is not canceled on or before the original travel date, the entire ticket will have no further value. Tickets are non-transferable. Seats are limited and may be sold out on some flights or dates or during holiday periods. Lower fares may be available in these markets. Fares are not available in all markets.
