Private Marina Resort Development "The Landings, St. Lucia" Launches

TORONTO, Canada, February 23/PRNewswire/ -- Canadian Businessman Frank Heaps is the visionary behind a luxury marina resort development 'The Landings St Lucia'. At US$170 million, it is the largest ever capital project in the history of St. Lucia. The Landings comprises a private yacht basin and 228 luxury residential freehold properties. It was officially launched by St. Lucia's Prime Minister on 27th January 2005.

Toronto based Frank Heaps (founder and President of Upper Canada Brewing when it was selected as one the original winners of Canada's 50 Best Managed Private Companies Awards), initially fell in love with St Lucia whilst working there in 1974-75 for the UNDP. Back on holiday recently he spotted the development potential of the 20 acre parcel of land on the island's most beautiful beach. Heaps saw the market opportunity for an exclusive yacht oriented condominium resort where every residence would be on the waterfront in an exclusive resort with five star facilities and impeccable service. Heaps was joined by some of the most respected businessmen and hoteliers in St Lucia, who recruited the Florida based planning and landscape architectural company EDSA and Dallas architectural firm Three, to develop their plan.

In addition to its sunset facing beach on Rodney Bay, The Landings St. Lucia will have an extensive range of on-site facilities including private yacht moorings, beach club, water sports, sunset lounge, helipad, gourmet restaurant, fitness club/spa/salon, swimming pools, boutique, tennis courts, and concierge service. The project's first phase of 54 units, scheduled for a November construction start, is already almost half sold out.

Prices for a 1 bedroom apartment start at US$495,000, a 2 bedroom apartment US$682,000 and a 3 bedroom apartment US$836,000. For details see http://www.thelandingsstlucia.com or telephone +1-758-452-0422.
