Morey’s Piers Draws Over 20,000 Youth for ’05 Programs; New Day Camp Launched

WILDWOOD, N.J., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ — Over 20,000 people will participate in Morey’s Piers Youth programs this year, including a newly launched children’s day camp called “Shore Quest.” The new camp, various educational programs, Scouting adventures, soccer tournaments, and Christian youth events, will draw record numbers to Wildwood for the unique programming combined with the beach, boardwalk, waterparks, amusement piers and picnics.

“The programs are the primary attraction,” says Merideth Fiorucci, Youth Program Director for Morey’s Piers. “We build these events around special programs that fit well with our beach camping and picnic experience. Of course, our more than 100 rides and attractions are also a big draw!”

The following youth events are scheduled for 2005:

NEW FOR 2005: Shore Quest – Children’s Day Camp
Morey’s Piers is proud to announce a new children’s day camp – Shore
Quest, debuting the summer of 2005. Shore Quest is a unique camp
experience designed for children between the ages of 5 and 12. Shore
Quest offers educational programming in a fun, safe and entertaining
environment by experienced and caring teachers. Shore Quest runs from
July 25 – August 19.

A Closer Walk – Christian Youth Event
The 4th Annual “A Closer Walk” Christian youth event is set for July 21
- 23, 2005. Over 4,000 young people will come for speakers, praise and
worship sessions led by live Christian musicians, dance performances by
a worship team, teen testimonies, God encounters, and opportunities for
fellowship, plus camping on the beach and admission to Morey’s Piers’
amusements and waterpark.

Beach Jam – Scout Adventure
Now in its 11th awesome year, Beach Jam is the only beach camping event
of its kind in New Jersey. The two events will draw over 9,000 scouts.
Besides the rides and attractions, there’s camping on Wildwood’s world-
famous beach, live entertainment, scout talent shows, catered meals and
dolphin watching boat tours. Beach Jam is the most fun ever packed into
one weekend! Beach Jam is so popular, it’s held twice a year! 2005
dates are May 20 – 22, and October 1 – 2.

Beach Blast Soccer Tournament – Soccer on the beach
Morey’s Piers is proud to sponsor the 3rd Annual Cape Express Soccer
Tournament. Over 3,000 come for this two-day event scheduled for June
25 and 26, 2005 on the expansive Wildwood beaches with soccer games,
beach and waterpark access during the day, and the famous Boardwalk and
amusements at night.

Education Extravaganza – A unique student field trip
The beach and amusements are a backdrop for a day of fun and education.
Drawing over 5,000 students, this innovative program is designed to
encourage hands-on learning and interactive participation in a clean and
safe environment. Students enjoy a full day of engaging workshops
followed by an afternoon of excitement on the amusements and waterpark.
The program is set for June 2-3, 2005.

Home School Education Day – A unique student field trip exclusively for
Home School Students
On June 17, 2005, over 1,000 will participate in this “field trip”
designed for home school students and their families. Based on the same
format as Education Extravaganza, this event encourages hands-on
learning and interactive participation for students in a clean and safe
environment. Students enjoy a full day of engaging workshops followed
by an afternoon of excitement on the amusements and waterpark.

Morey’s Piers is located on the Boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey and consists of three amusement piers and two Raging Waters beachfront waterparks.
