PALMETTO, FL, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Canadian Snowbird Association is hosting a Winter Information Meeting in Palmetto on Wednesday, March 2. The Winter Information Meeting is a mixture of advice and entertainment for snowbirds.

"This is a free event," says Gerry Brissenden, president of the CSA. "All Canadian snowbirds and their American friends are welcome. Almost two million Canadians visit Florida each year, so we're expecting a large turnout."

Brissenden is a winter resident of Manatee County, and says Palmetto is a popular destination of snowbirds and other Canadians. "There's a small-town feeling to Palmetto that snowbirds really love," he enthuses, "but it's also a great destination for families visiting at March Break. Snowbirds take great pride in showing off Palmetto to other Canadians."

The CSA Winter Information Meeting will be held at the Manatee Convention Center at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2.

The Canadian Snowbird Association is a national not-for-profit advocacy organization dedicated to actively defending and improving the rights and privileges of travelling Canadians.
