ORLANDO, Fla., March 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI) , today launched a sale for flights to all of the airline's destinations with fares starting as low as $39 each way. Travelers may purchase these sale fares at http://www.airtran.com/ or via AirTran Airways' reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.

These special fares are available for purchase March 1 through March 10, 2005, are good for travel through August 22, 2005, and are not valid for travel on Fridays or Sundays. Like all AirTran Airways fares, prices included in this sale are available for one-way travel and do not require a roundtrip purchase or a Saturday night stay.

*All fares are one-way. All fares are non-refundable, and a $50 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase plus any applicable increase in airfare. Ten-day advance purchase required. Tickets must be purchased by March 10, 2005. Travel must be completed by August 22, 2005. Travel through April 5, 2005 to Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Miami, Orlando, Sarasota/Bradenton, Tampa and West Palm Beach valid Sunday through Wednesday and travel from these markets through April 5, 2005 valid Tuesday through Friday. Travel to/from these markets between April 6 and August 22, 2005 not valid on Fridays and Sundays. Fares for travel to/from all other markets are not valid on Fridays and Sundays. Service to/from Myrtle Beach begins April 5, 2005. Service to/from Indianapolis begins April 9, 2005. Service to/from Charlotte begins May 4, 2005. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Blackout dates are as follows: March 25, 28; April 3; May 27, 30; and July 1 - 5, 2005. Travel from Boston not valid April 14 - 18 and travel to Boston not valid April 22 - 25, 2005. Fares, routes, and schedules are subject to change without notice. Fares do not include per-segment tax of $3.20. A segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. The September 11th security fee of up to $10 is not included. Airport Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18 are not included. Fares to/from Grand Bahama Island do not include U.S. and Bahamian taxes of up to $82.65.
