Northwest Airlines Announces Nonstop Service Between Lansing and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport
One Daily Flight to Begin June 9
LANSING, Mich., March 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ:NWAC) today announced new nonstop service between Lansing and convenient Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. One daily flight will be offered beginning June 9.
As a result of this new flight -- the only nonstop service between Capital City Airport and the nation's capital -- Northwest's existing schedule between Lansing and Washington-Dulles International Airport will end June 8.
The new service to close-in National Airport will be operated by Northwest Airlink partner Pinnacle Airlines Corp. using the Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ), which seats up to 50 passengers.
"Northwest's new flight between Lansing's Capital City Airport and Washington Reagan National is an important service for the many mid-Michigan businesses and residents who travel to the nation's capital for business and pleasure," said U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.). "The service will be convenient for those with meetings or business with federal agencies or congressional offices, and for individuals and families traveling to Washington to enjoy the wealth of history and culture the city offers."
Customers currently holding tickets for travel June 9 or beyond on connecting itineraries between Lansing and Washington National or on nonstop service between Lansing and Washington-Dulles will be able to change to Northwest's new nonstop National Airport service without paying an administrative change fee, provided changes are made by March 31.
Northwest's new Lansing-Washington-National service will be available for sale beginning March 5 at http://www.nwa.com/ , by telephone at Northwest Airlines Reservations at 1-800-225-2525 or through travel agencies.
