Snowbird information meeting – Port Charlotte

PORT CHARLOTTE, FL, March 7 /PRNewswire/ — The Canadian Snowbird Association is hosting a Winter Information Meeting in Port Charlotte on Wednesday, March 9. The Winter Information Meeting is a mixture of advice and entertainment for snowbirds.

“This is a free event,” says Gerry Brissenden, president of the CSA. “All Canadian snowbirds and their American friends are welcome. Almost two million Canadians visit Florida each year, so we’re expecting a large turnout.”

Many snowbirds in Port Charlotte are still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Charley, but Brissenden says they have coped well. “Snowbirds have strong ties to their communities,” he enthuses, “and that support brings them back each year to Florida. Plus Port Charlotte is an exceptionally beautiful area.

“Our meeting will celebrate Port Charlotte.”

The CSA Winter Information Meeting will be held at King’s Gate at Victoria Estates at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9.

The Canadian Snowbird Association is a national not-for-profit advocacy organization dedicated to actively defending and improving the rights and privileges of travelling Canadians.
