The Kahler Grand Hotel Hosts Two Benefit Performances of Rochester Civic Theater's Production of The Complete History of America (Abridged)
ROCHESTER, Minn., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20, The Kahler Grand's Elizabethan Room will be the elegant venue for two fundraising performances of the irreverent The Complete History of America, (Abridged).
The Complete History of America, (Abridged) is performed by Jerry Casper, Nicklas Mezacapa and Greg Miller, the hilarious trio that left sold out houses laughing all the way home during last year's Rochester Civic Theatre production of the Complete Works of William Shakespeare. This time they take their pot shots at American history in a wild-fast paced comedy reenacting the history of our continent from its discovery to the present day. Our landmarks and events are mixed into a comic jumble of game shows, Andrews Sisters numbers, tabloid TV and a "Wild West" shoot out starring FDR. This is one history lesson you won't sleep through!
"We are thrilled that the Rochester Civic Theatre has chosen us to produce this great fundraiser," states Bruce Fairchild, General Manager for The Kahler Grand Hotel. "This event promises to be a unique way to help raise money and awareness for this outstanding theater company."
The evening event on Saturday, March 19 begins at 6:00 pm with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner at 6:30 pm and the performance at 8:00 pm. The price is $50 per person.
The matinee event on Sunday, March 20 begins at 11:30 am with a plated brunch, followed by a performance at 1:30 pm. The price is $45 per person.
The historic Kahler Grand Hotel is located in downtown Rochester at 20 SW Second Avenue. For reservations, please call the Rochester Civic Theater at 507-282-8481 by March 17, 2005.
