Continental Airlines to Start New Summer Service From Its New York and Cleveland Hubs
HOUSTON, March 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental Airlines (NYSE:CAL) today announced that it will launch twice-daily, nonstop summer service to both Albuquerque, N.M. and Calgary, Alberta, Canada, from its New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport. The carrier's Cleveland hub will also offer daily nonstop summer service to Albuquerque. All seasonal service will commence on June 9, 2005 and operate using Boeing 737-500 out of Liberty International and Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft out of Cleveland.
"These new routes complement existing service from Continental's Houston hub, and will give both business and leisure travelers more options to get to Albuquerque and Calgary nonstop," said a Continental Airlines spokesperson. "We will continue to expand our direct services where our customers demand it -- these routes are a welcome addition to our summer network."
