PARSIPPANY, N.J., March 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — TripRewards members now can exchange points and miles between disparate loyalty programs, thanks to an agreement with Points.com.
Points.com offers more than 3,600 exchange opportunities and 42 redemption partners.
In the near future, TripRewards members will be able to transfer points to friends and family members, and organizations will be able to purchase TripRewards points for distribution as incentives to customers, business associates, employees and charities.
TripRewards members may enroll in a free traditional Points.com membership that offers individual transfers for $9.95. TripRewards members who sign up for PointsPlus membership, which provides unlimited transfers for an annual fee of $29.95, will receive 2,000 bonus points.
Featuring 52 points-earning options, including 6,000 hotels, TripRewards is the world’s largest loyalty program, based on the number of participating hotels.
The program’s “open earn” structure allows members faster access to point earning by staying in Cendant-franchised hotels, renting Avis(R) and Budget(R) rental cars and purchasing everyday products and services from earning partners.
Likewise, TripRewards members can redeem their points for either hotel stays — with no blackout dates — or partner rewards including airline tickets, resort vacations, electronics, home appliances, sporting goods, movie and theme park tickets and gift certificates from 46 retailers and restaurants.
TripRewards members may elect to earn TripRewards points, airline miles or rail points for their hotel stays. A hassle-free online system allows members to check points and redeem for rewards 24 hours a day.
