New Airfare Search Engine on Google Maps
Searches multiple airports and destinations simultaneously for the ultimate lowest fare to the top 50 U.S. destinations
Where can I go, and what's the cheapest way to get there?
DALLAS, Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- FareCompare LP, a provider of next- generation airfare search technology, announced today the deployment of an airfare search engine on the Google map platform that helps consumers quickly find the cheapest way to reach multiple destinations. FareCompare's Airport Map takes the search for airfares to a level beyond that offered anywhere else by giving consumers a choice of destinations, dates, and routes for their travel.
Click on "My Airport Map" on http://www.farecompare.com/, and a map of the U.S. displays the lowest fares from both major and regional airports nearest you to the top 50 destinations across the country. To get from New York to Cincinnati, you can fly American Airlines for $299*. Or, you can fly from Hartford, CT to Columbus, OH on Northwest Airlines for just $118. The map shows all these options in an easily readable format.
"Travel is all about maps. Now you can see the lowest fares in relation to where you are and where you want to go," said Neil Bainton, Chief Operating Officer. "Using the Google map platform you can uncover ways to save hundreds of dollars by using regional airport alternatives."
