AirTran Airways Launches New Nonstop Service Between Akron-Canton and Ft. Myers

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI) , today kicked off the airline’s new nonstop daily service from Akron-Canton Airport to Southwest Florida International Airport in Ft. Myers. The seasonal service will operate through May 8, 2006, on the airline’s popular Boeing 737 aircraft.

The new route marks the eighth airport that AirTran Airways serves from Akron-Canton. The airline also operates nonstop daily service to Atlanta, Boston, Ft. Lauderdale, Las Vegas, New York (LaGuardia), Orlando and Tampa.
