AirTran Airways To Expand Service Between Boston and Philadelphia
Additional Daily Nonstop Flights to Begin This Winter
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI) , today announced the airline will add new daily roundtrip flights between Boston Logan International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport.
The airline, which currently operates five roundtrip flights between the two airports, will add a sixth daily nonstop flight on December 15, 2005. A seventh daily nonstop flight also will be added on February 15, 2006, which will provide a flight every other hour for additional customer convenience. The new flights will be served by the airline's popular Boeing 717 aircraft.
"Providing a schedule that is convenient for both business and leisure travel is important to AirTran Airways," said Robert L. Fornaro, AirTran Airways' president and chief operating officer. "Our new enhanced service insures that our valued customers can fly between Boston and Philadelphia any time of the day or night."
