AirTran Airways Expands Service from Chicago's Midway Airport to Boston and Minneapolis/St. Paul

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI) , kicked-off its new nonstop service from Midway International Airport to Boston Logan International Airport and Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport Chicago style with AirTran's "Super Shuffle Showdown" at Midway Airport.
Gridiron legends Richard Dent and Gary Fencik huddled up with new stars Kyle Orton and Jerry Azumah to watch five local kids perform their 2005 take on the famous '85 shuffle. The kids are part of Chicago Lights, a non-profit organization that assists individuals and families who face the challenges of aging, poverty and access to education and healthcare. AirTran Airways will fly the "shuffler" with the best rendition to Minneapolis to watch Chicago take on one of its long-time rivals.

The new service includes four daily nonstop flights between Chicago (Midway) and Minneapolis/St. Paul, as well as three daily nonstop flights between Chicago (Midway) and Boston. All new flights are served by the airline's popular Boeing 717 aircraft.
