AirTran Airways Spreads 'Glee' to Holiday Travelers
Airline to Host the Georgia Tech Glee Club at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport For the Holidays
ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI) , today announced that it will host live performances by the Georgia Tech Glee Club at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport during the holiday season. Glee Club members will perform throughout the holiday along the C Concourse for passengers and AirTran Airways Crew Members.
"Since the Atlanta airport is our hub and a place that many of our passengers will visit this holiday season, we thought the Georgia Tech Glee Club would help keep them in the holiday spirit while they are traveling," said Tad Hutcheson, AirTran Airways' vice president of marketing and sales. "The Glee Club has a long and very rich history at Georgia Tech with performances ranging from a cappella to Barbershop. We are excited to have such a talented group of men performing for our passengers and Crew Members during the holidays."
The Glee Club is the oldest student organization on the Georgia Tech campus. Founded in 1906, it has a tradition of singing that includes national and international tours, as well as radio broadcasts and recordings.
