Flights to/from Gulfport/Biloxi and New Orleans Canceled Due to Hurricane Katrina
ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Based on the current forecasts for Hurricane Katrina by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways has cancelled flights into and out of Gulfport/Biloxi and New Orleans for Sunday (08/28), Monday (08/29), and Tuesday (08/30).
Passengers scheduled to fly into or out of Gulfport/Biloxi and New Orleans between now and Tuesday, August 30, are being offered the opportunity to alter their flight itineraries without change fees or fare adjustments. Travel must occur within seven days of the original travel date. The airline will also allow passengers to cancel their travel to these cities booked for these dates and receive a credit to use for travel up to one year from the date of purchase. To adjust your travel plans, please call 1-800-AIRTRAN. Every effort is being made by AirTran Airways to notify the affected passengers of these flight cancellations and to make alternate travel arrangements.
