AirTran Airways Weather Update

Grand Bahama Island and South Florida Flights Affected By Tropical Storm Katrina

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Based on the current forecasts for Tropical Storm Katrina by the National Hurricane Center, AirTran Airways has cancelled a number of flights into and out of the following cities: Fort Lauderdale, Fla., West Palm Beach, Fla., and, Miami, Fla., today and tomorrow. Flights to/from Grand Bahama Island are also cancelled for today.

Passengers scheduled to fly into or out of these cities between now and Friday, August 26th, are being offered the opportunity to alter their flight itineraries without change fees or fare adjustments. Every effort is being made by AirTran Airways to notify the affected passengers of these flight cancellations and to make alternate travel arrangements.

Passengers wishing to check on their flight status may do so by checking online at www.airtran.com on the home page under “Flight Status” or they may call the airline at 1-800-AIRTRAN.
