Alton Towers Fireworks Events Announced

ALTON, England, September 21/PRNewswire/ — In spite of an adjournment in the on-going noise abatement case, Staffordshire theme park Alton Towers is determined to celebrate its end of season in traditional style with a spectacular fireworks and special effects event.

Traditionally the park has hosted five of these evenings at the end of October, but following comments from the judge, the Park will now host just three events – on Friday 28th, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October.

Commenting, Russell Barnes, General Manager said: “Whilst we recognise that there is a risk involved in promoting these shows before the terms of the Abatement Order have been confirmed, we felt that it was imperative that we press ahead with our plans, because they are so key not only to the Park, but to the local community. So we’re planning to release limited numbers of tickets over the Internet at discounted rates for a short time period. What’s key is to get across that for the first time, only tickets bought in advance will guarantee entry – on the day sales will be strictly controlled.”

Tickets can be booked through from 26th September or by calling +44-870-4448421. Early bookers benefit from discounted tickets starting at GBP25 per adult and GBP17 per child and includes park entry and fireworks event.

The case continues on 14th October in Stoke Crown Court, when a full adjudication of the terms of the noise abatement order will be made.
