American Airlines Gets Serious About Competing at Love Field…..

American Airlines Rewards Customers With Up to 60,000 AAdvantage Bonus Miles

FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — To launch its new service from Dallas Love Field to Kansas City, St. Louis, Austin and San Antonio, American Airlines is rewarding customers with the opportunity to earn up to 60,000 AAdvantage bonus miles. Starting March 2 through May 26, customers who fly three roundtrips between Dallas Love Field or DFW International Airport and Kansas City, St. Louis, Austin and San Antonio can earn 30,000 AAdvantage bonus miles — enough miles for a MilesAAver award within and between the Continental U.S., Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean. Fly six roundtrips in the same time period and earn an additional 30,000 bonus miles — enough miles for a trip to Hawaii, Europe, or even Japan (in the off- peak season).

“We’ve said all along that if rules regarding Love Field were changed, we would shift flights from DFW Airport and vigorously compete for every customer at Love Field,” said Dan Garton, Executive Vice President-Marketing. “With competitive low fares and options like assigned seating and a first class cabin, American will be offering great service at a great value. In addition, American’s AAdvantage program is the world’s largest frequent flyer program and was rated the best frequent flyer program by Consumer Reports in October 2005. That’s great news for existing American Airlines customers, and these new flights will give us the opportunity to demonstrate to new customers that American offers much more than some other airlines.”
