Replacing the company’s traditional paper gift certificates, American Airlines Gift Cards can be redeemed online at AA.com for the purchase of air travel originating in the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico on flights operated by American Airlines, American Eagle and AmericanConnection(R) airlines.

On the Gift Card redemption page at AA.com, up to eight Gift Cards may be applied to the purchase of a single ticket, and if the ticket price exceeds the value of the Gift Card(s), the balance may be paid using a credit card. American Airlines Gift Cards do not expire and have no fees to keep the card active.
