New Nonstop Service From Chicago Begins Nov. 15, 2005
FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — American Airlines is celebrating the upcoming launch of its new nonstop service between Chicago and Delhi, India, by offering special introductory fares to Delhi from the continental U.S.
The introductory fare from Chicago is just $499* each way when bought with required round-trip purchase on the American Airlines Web site, AA.com. Other cities such as Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth and St. Louis are available for a moderately higher price each way. From select cities on the West Coast fares are just $599* each way with required round-trip purchase. Here are the highlights:

American will begin flying between Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and Delhi on Nov. 15, 2005, with one daily nonstop flight each way using 236-seat Boeing 777-200 aircraft configured with First, Business and Economy- Class cabins. The flight will provide convenient connections at Chicago O’Hare to and from dozens of destinations throughout the American Airlines/American Eagle route network.

Fares do not include (a) a federal excise tax of $3.20 per U.S. domestic flight segment, defined as one takeoff and landing, of a passenger’s itinerary; (b) up to $18 per round trip in local airport charges; and (c) September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport, up to $5 per one way or $10 per round trip. For international destinations, government taxes and fees of up to $125, varying by destination, are not included and may vary slightly depending on currency exchange rates at the time of purchase.
Tickets must be purchased within three days of making reservations, but no later than 11:59 p.m., Sept. 12, 2005 (Central Daylight Time). Fares shown are valid for outbound travel Nov. 15-Dec. 13, 2005. Return travel must be completed by Dec. 25, 2005.
Travel must be via Chicago O’Hare Airport on AA flights 292 and 293. Advertised fares are valid only on American Airlines, American Eagle, and AmericanConnection(R) carriers and do not apply to other codeshare flights. Seats are limited. Tickets are nontransferable. Cancellations, no-shows or refunds will be charged a $200 fee. Changes to your ticket may be made if you meet the restrictions of the new fare and pay up to a $125 change fee plus any fare difference. Changes must be made before your flight departs. When ticketed flights are canceled prior to departure time, the ticket will be valid for one year from the date of issue on an unused ticket or one year from travel origination on a partially used ticket. If you do not cancel your flight before departure time, the ticket has no value.
