From the Alamo City to LAX – and Back; American Airlines to Begin Service Between San Antonio and Los Angeles

FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — American Airlines today announced new daily nonstop service between San Antonio International Airport (SAT) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The inaugural flight will depart San Antonio on Oct. 30 at 7:40 a.m. (Central Time).

“The new service will provide a convenient new way to travel for business or leisure between San Antonio and Los Angeles,” said Henry Joyner, Senior Vice-President – Planning for American Airlines. “This route opens the door for our customers in San Antonio to a large number of connecting cities through LAX, including some great destinations like Hawaii and Tokyo.”

American and American Eagle operate approximately 170 daily departures from LAX — American has 21 daily departures from San Antonio. The new service is currently available for booking on AA.com and affiliated travel agencies.
