American Airlines Applies for Service From JFK Airport to Baja California’s San Jose del Cabo

NEW YORK, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — American Airlines announced today that it has applied to the U.S. Department of Transportation for authorization to begin service between New York’s JFK International Airport and San Jose del Cabo, in the Baja California region of Mexico, on Feb. 4, 2006.

American would operate two flights a week during the peak season and one flight a week during the off-peak season. The airline said it would fly the new route with a Boeing 757 aircraft with 188 seats configured for both coach and business class.
