American Eagle to Begin Service Between Cleveland and New York JFK; New Service Provides Connections to International Destinations

FORT WORTH, Texas, April 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — American Eagle announced today that it will offer daily round-trip flights between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and New York John F. Kennedy International Airport beginning June 9, providing customers with a convenient schedule at competitive prices. The carrier will operate the flight using its 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jet.

“Kennedy Airport is an important international gateway for American Airlines,” said American Eagle President Peter Bowler, “and our new flight from Cleveland will arrive in time for easy connections to American’s Brussels, Zurich, London and Paris flights, as well as its flights to Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.”

Passengers flying to Kennedy Airport will enjoy American Airlines’ new $1.1 billion terminal. Phase one of the new terminal project is expected to open in early June. The new terminal will eventually provide 36 gates, 19 of them for international arrivals, and cover nearly 1.4 million square feet.
