American Eagle Begins Service Between Martinique and Its San Juan, Puerto Rico Hub

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — American Eagle began nonstop service today between San Juan, Puerto Rico and Fort-de-France, Martinique. The airline will operate flights between the two cities every Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday using 64-seat Super-ATR aircraft. “This new service is part of American and American Eagle’s continuing efforts to promote Caribbean tourism and solidify San Juan as the premier Caribbean hub,” said Pedro Fabregas, Director-Sales, Marketing and Planning for American Eagle in the Caribbean, Florida and the Bahamas. “The new flights have been timed to provide convenient connections with American Airlines flights to and from Miami, New York, Boston and throughout the Northeast. Additionally, our new Martinique customers will now have nonstop access to our San Juan hub, providing connecting opportunities on more than 100 flights per day to 39 U.S. and international destinations.” “This is an important day for Martinique and the whole island is glad to see American Eagle returning to the destination,” said Madame Madeleine de Grandmaison, Chairman-Martinique Tourism Authority. “We trust this partnership will be mutually beneficial and we are looking forward to a long- term relationship.
