American Eagle Connects Chicago and Northern Florida With Nonstop Jet Service

FORT WORTH, Texas, April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add nonstop jet service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and two cities in Northern Florida beginning June 9. American Eagle will operate two daily round-trip flights to Jacksonville; and one daily round-trip flight to Pensacola using 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jets, providing customers with convenient schedules at competitive prices.

“Our customers have told us how much they value the opportunity to fly nonstop to popular business and leisure destinations in Florida, and we are very pleased to be able to provide these new flights for them,” said American Eagle President Peter Bowler. “The flights to Jacksonville benefit business travelers and those leisure passengers who wish to travel north to the Golden Isles of Georgia; over to nearby Amelia Island, Fla.; or down the coast to St. Augustine, Fla. The Pensacola flight also will benefit passengers bound for the world-famous beaches of Florida’s Emerald Coast or those needing to travel to nearby Mobile, Alabama. The flights are scheduled to draw passengers from the Chicago area and from other Midwest cities that have easy connections through American Eagle’s O’Hare hub.”
