Route Becomes First Nonstop Service Between Bakersfield and Las Vegas

PHOENIX, April 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — America West Airlines (NYSE:AWA) , the nation’s second largest low-cost carrier, will celebrate the start of its nonstop service between its Las Vegas hub and Bakersfield, Calif. With the addition of Las Vegas service, customers in Bakersfield, who already enjoy nonstop service to America West’s hub in Phoenix, now have one-stop access to 70 cities throughout America West’s extensive route system.
