AmericanConnection to Offer New Service to Sarasota, Fla., From Lambert St. Louis International Airport

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Airlines today announced that AmericanConnection carrier Trans States Airlines will add nonstop regional jet service from Lambert St. Louis International Airport to Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport beginning Dec. 15. The new service will feature 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft.

"We are excited about the addition of new nonstop service to Sarasota/Bradenton. Our AmericanConnection flights will give travelers throughout the Midwest another convenient option to access Florida's popular Gulf Coast," said Loretta Kuss, American's Regional Manager - Passenger Sales in St. Louis. "Also, travelers returning from Florida to the Midwest can enjoy a full day in the Florida sun and still arrive back in time to make connections through St. Louis to their final destination."

"We expect this new flight will nicely complement existing service from Lambert St. Louis to Florida," said Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, American's St. Louis Hub Managing Director. "From St. Louis, American flies nonstop to Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Ft. Myers and Ft. Lauderdale using Boeing 757 and MD80 aircraft."
