AmericanConnection Carriers to Offer New Service From Lambert St. Louis to New Orleans

Twice Daily Flights to the Crescent City Beginning Dec. 15

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — American Airlines today announced that its AmericanConnection carriers will offer two daily nonstop flights between Lambert St. Louis International Airport and Louis Armstrong International Airport starting in mid-December.

“These new flights will ensure that people who want to travel to the Crescent City and nearby parishes can do so for the holiday season,” said Loretta Kuss, American’s Regional Manager, Passenger Sales – St. Louis. “Since Hurricane Katrina, we have been flying from St. Louis to Baton Rouge, but we’re very glad to be back serving New Orleans from St. Louis in December.

“We expect these flights will nicely augment existing connecting service to New Orleans via our Dallas-Ft. Worth hub.”

Following is the schedule for the St. Louis service:

The morning flights will be operated by Trans States Airlines and the afternoon flights will be operated by Chautauqua Airlines, both AmericanConnection carriers.

The morning flights will feature 50-seat Embraer regional jets. The afternoon flights will feature 44-seat Embraer regional jets.

Today, American, American Eagle and AmericanConnection carriers operate 219 flights from Lambert St. Louis.
