New York, NY, September 2005 - The Anguilla Tourist Board and Alken Tours have announced new three and five night land only packages to the “Straight, No Chaser” Tranquility Jazz Festival set for November 9-13, 2005. In its third year, the Tranquility Jazz Festival will bring together some of the most respected names in the jazz world today to perform at a selection of special venues across the island.
The packages are for accommodations at the islands special Charming Escapes’ properties. These are 16 select hotels, villas and inns that offer a unique and affordable way to experience what has become one of the Caribbean’s most exotic and exclusive island getaways. The Charming Escapes designation provides a “seal of approval” for the island’s leading mid-market priced accommodations.
The Charming Escapes three and five night land only packages include hotel room, roundtrip transfers from the AXA Airport or Blowing Point Ferry to hotel; roundtrip transfers from your hotel to the concert venue and all concert tickets (dinner set at CuisinArt only, dinner cost is extra). Packages begin at $ 390.00 per person based on double occupancy (including tax and service charges) for three nights and $510 for five nights. Airfare is additional and prices vary depending on the gateway. If booked by September 30, there is an additional 5% discount. Prices quoted are based on availability and are starting prices.
The “Charming Escapes” properties participating in the Tranquility Jazz program include Anguilla Great House Resort, Allamanda Beach Club, Ferry Boat Inn, La Sirena Hotel, Paradise Cove Hotel and Rendezvous Bay Hotel.
The stellar lineup of confirmed artists to perform at the Tranquility Jazz Festival include Marlena Shaw, Poncho Sanchez, Stefon Harris, Claudia Acuna, Ravi Coltrane, Mulgrew Miller, Eric Alexander, Kenny Garrett, Nicholas Payton, Freddy Cole, and Trio Da Paz with their tribute to Carlos Jobim. The event is being produced by BET Event Productions, the production company owned by BET Jazz.
