63rd Annual National City Cleveland Home & Garden Show Pays Floral Tribute to the Dutch

CLEVELAND, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ — With celebrations across the globe for Rembrandt’s 400th birthday slated for next year, the National City Cleveland Home & Garden Show will join in the tribute by featuring flowers and landscapes of the Dutch master’s native land that have made their mark on American culture.

Premiere landscape professionals from across Northern Ohio will celebrate the beauty and progression of the Dutch countryside’s surprising architecture and prominent art scene. Like a priceless Rembrandt, landscapers will craft garden masterpieces in honor of this year’s theme, “Holland in Bloom: A Dutch Masterpiece” using present-day and traditional Dutch trademarks.

A magnificent entry feature garden, created by the Weidner Group, features approximately 12,000 colorful tulips leading visitors to an authentic open-air Marketsquare with cobblestone walkways and unique Dutch commerce. True to the country’s “green” lifestyle, a modern H-Haus showcasing energy efficient living at its best is prominently displayed amidst the fragrant flowerbeds.

In addition to a glorious floral tribute to Holland, 20 indoor acres will be dedicated to the latest home and garden trends. Visitors will stroll down a “boulevard” lined with professionally decorated and landscaped model homes. Home improvement seminars, “how to” demonstrations and gardening classes will inspire visitors with ideas for their own home and garden projects.

Dutch musical entertainment, culinary delights and much more will attract hundreds of thousands of visitors during the Show’s nine-day run. Visitors will also have a chance to win a trip for two to Holland courtesy of the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions www.holland.com/cleveland.
