Bangladesh: TRAVEL ADVICE UPDATED

FOREIGN AND COMMONWEALTH OFFICE News Release issued by the Government News

The Foreign Office today revised its travel advice for Bangladesh due to
the increase in the threat level.
The relevant sections of the Summary now reads:
* There is a high threat from terrorism in Bangladesh.
* Terrorists have intensified the scale and frequency of their attacks
against domestic targets in Bangladesh. Further attacks using explosive
devices are likely. In late November and early December 2005, three bomb
explosions at legal/judicial and local government facilities in Chittagong
and Gazipur (30 kms from central Dhaka), are reported to have caused at
least 13 fatalities and injured up to 100.
