Basin Harbor Club Introduces New Women on Water Package

Vergennes, Vt. (April 24, 2006) Located on the shores of Lake Champlain in Vergennes, Vermont, Basin Harbor Club is inviting women of all ages and athletic ability to “dive in” and experience the joy of water sports this summer with a new Women on Water package.

“A study released this winter by the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin found that women who take frequent vacations are less likely to become stressed out or depressed, and report a higher rate of marital satisfaction,” said Pennie Beach, owner of the Basin Harbor Club. “This package takes our best asset, Lake Champlain, and makes it easy for women to enjoy a vacation that is active and relaxing, invigorating and rejuvenating.”

The Women on Water package includes two nights accommodations, two water rentals of choice (including canoes, kayaks, sunfish, rowboats, paddleboats, or outboards), one hour of professional instruction, breakfast daily, a beach towel, and a half hour upper back and shoulder massage. The package is available during the month of June and starts at $356 per night, based on double occupancy.

Lake Champlain is the nation’s sixth largest lake with over 600 miles of scenic shoreline over its 120-mile length.
