Savings Of Up To $400 On Several Cruise Vacations If Booked By Year's End

New York, November 2006 -- Norwegian Coastal Voyage is offering early-bird savings of $50 to $400 for passengers who book any of several 2007 cruise vacations by December 31, 2006. Most of the itineraries include what has been called "The World's Most Beautiful Voyage" -- sailing the spectacular fjord-filled west coast of Norway. Savings of $275 to $400 is available on NCV's air-inclusive Independent Vacations and Escorted Vacations -- which when combined with AARP and Senior Savings means up to $610 per person off the normal fare; $225 to $350 on cruise-only itineraries -- up to $485 when combined; and $50 to $275 on Gota Canal cruises. The early-booking savings are good on any departure during 2007.

Fishing villages in the Lofoten Islands, the town of Alesund with its many art galleries and the bustling cities of Trondheim and Tromso are some of the 34 ports on NCV's "Coastal Voyage," running between Bergen and Kirkenes, close to Russian border. The 13 ships in the fleet that sail this route daily are a unique combination of deluxe cruise travel and lifelines to remote coastal towns and villages. Normal prices of $1,099 to $6,099 per person, double, for the six-day southbound and seven-day northbound voyages are reduced to $874 to $5,874 ($799 to $5,784 when combined with Senior Savings), and the 12-day roundtrip is reduced from $1,999 to $9,099 to $1,649 to $8,749 ($1,514 to $8,614 when combined).

NCV Independent Vacations are flexible 12-day to 17-day air-inclusive programs and operate daily year-round. Designed for independent travelers who prefer the flexibility of doing their own sightseeing and dining in major cities but appreciate the convenience and cost savings of air-inclusive cruise tours, these packages combine the "Coastal Voyage" with first-class hotels including breakfast, all meals on board, Oslo and Bergen Cards, and the Oslo-Bergen train journey. Booking early reduces normal rates of $2,939 to $9,999 per person, double, to $2,664 to $9,599 ($2,539 to $9,389 when combined with AARP and Senior Savings).

The same reduction holds true for any of the May-September 2007 departures of NCV's Escorted Vacations. These are "one-stop shop" cruise tours featuring the best of Norway -- in-depth land and fjord exploration combined with the majestic scenery and intimate villages on "The World's Most Beautiful Voyage" aboard one of three new Millennium ships. A new 16-day "Scandinavian Smorgasbord" has been added for 2007, joining the 13-day "Norway Naturally," 15-day "Spectacular Norway" and 18-day "Norway Splendor." Prices of $4,699 to $7,169 become $4,424 to $6,769 ($4,299 to $6,559 when combined) if booked by December 31, 2006 and include transatlantic flights from New York, first-class hotels, extensive sightseeing, entrance fees, the exclusive services of a private tour director, deluxe motorcoaches, trains, most meals, the coastal voyage, and port charges.

Three vintage ships, built in 1874, 1912 and 1931 and lovingly maintained to preserve their classic interiors, ply the historic Gota Canal between Stockholm, the Swedish capital, and Gothenburg, the largest port, on journeys back in time -- through lush countryside to medieval castles, ancient towns and a Viking city. Two-, four- and six-day sailings, normally priced $495 to $2,795, are reduced to $445 to $2,520 per person if booked by December 31, 2006.
