Boyd's Treasure Chest Reports No Significant Damage
Company Focused on Relief Effort and Unsure About Operations Timetable
LAS VEGAS, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE:BYD) today reported that upon preliminary review, its Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner, Louisiana, was not significantly damaged as a result of Hurricane Katrina. However, there is no assurance that a more detailed inspection will not identify additional damage. The Company does not know when operations at Treasure Chest may resume.

To help them in the near-term, we will continue to pay our Treasure Chest employees for the next eight weeks, assuming we are still closed, and then we will re-evaluate the situation at that time. First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with all of those impacted by Hurricane Katrina."
