Historic, Upscale Ranch Offers a Taste of the Old West for Denver Area Residents

GRANBY, Colo., May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The C Lazy U Dude Ranch (http://www.clazyu.com) is offering Denver area residents the chance to experience a genuine, Old West dude ranch on Sunday, June 5, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The ranch will open its gates to the first 100 Denver area city slickers who RSVP for the event. All activities are free and open to the public.

"It's a chance to open our doors and give Denver area folks a real Rocky Mountain ranch experience -- 8,000 acres of beautiful land, endless outdoor activities and gourmet-western cuisine," said Brian Murray of the family-owned ranch near Granby. "We think that once people get a taste of what we have to offer they'll understand why so many guests return to C Lazy U year after year. The majority of our summer guests come from other states, so we're a well-kept secret from the folks in Denver and the front-range and we'd like to change that."

Activities at the open house include: pony rides and outdoor games for the kids, fishing, hiking, tennis, hay rides, and swimming-with indoor/outdoor hot tubs and sauna and a heated, spring-fed swimming pool. Guests will also enjoy a poolside cookout at 1 p.m. prepared by C Lazy U's own gourmet-western chef, Chef Michael Schneider.

All guests who RSVP and show up for the event will be entered to win a vacation for four people for one week at C Lazy U valued at $10,000. The winner will be announced at the end of the day.
