Cabela's Plans Grand Opening Events
Glendale Festivities to Include Celebrities and Hunting, Fishing Experts
GLENDALE, Ariz., Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Cabela's, the World's Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, is planning its Grand Opening activities August 18-27, 2006 at its new 160,000-square-foot store in Glendale, Ariz.
The 10-day Grand Opening festivities will feature celebrities and hunting and fishing experts sharing stories and advice. Grand Opening giveaways and special prices on clothing and merchandise will also be offered. Customers can enter drawings to win an 8-day Yukon Moose Hunt, a 10-day African Safari and a 3-day Pheasant Hunt in South Dakota.
Celebrities attending the Grand Opening will include aviation legend Chuck Yeager; former Phoenix Suns center Mark West; pro angler Mark Kile; world- renowned bow hunter Phil Phillips; outdoor personalities Mike Waddell, Dave Watson and Dan Hernandez; professional bull riders Mike White and Chris Shivers; and Cabela's founders Dick and Mary Cabela, who will sign their book, "Two Hearts; One Passion." Other special guests include hunting and fishing authorities, expert dog trainers, wild game chefs, authors and wildlife artists.
Cabela's (http://www.cabelas.com) large-format superstore is located on a 28.6- acre site near the new Cardinals Stadium.
Normal store hours are Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 9 p.m., and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday. Special Grand Opening hours are Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 10 p.m., and 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Cabela's Glendale store is the company's 15th retail location in a line of famous destination stores. Cabela's, headquartered in Sidney, Neb., also operates retail stores in Sidney and Kearney, Neb.; Prairie du Chien, Wis.; Owatonna, Rogers and East Grand Forks, Minn.; Mitchell, S.D.; Dundee, Mich.; Kansas City, Kan.; Hamburg, Pa.; Wheeling, W.Va.; Fort Worth and Buda, Texas; and Lehi, Utah.
