Restaurant 315 at the Doubletree Nashville Hotel Donates a BUCK a BURGER to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 6 /PRNewswire/ — Hamburger lovers dining at Restaurant 315 in the Doubletree Hotel Nashville now get a double delight as $1 from every burger sold through June 2nd goes to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Tennessee Chapter.

“We make the best burgers in Nashville!” states the hotel’s Director of Marketing and Sales, Geoffrey Mason. “What better way to get folks in the restaurant to try our burger than to offer part of the proceeds to a charity.”

Mason confesses an ulterior motive in creating the Buck a Burger promotion. Mason has been nominated as Man of the Year for the upcoming Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Grand Finale Celebration, to be held at the Doubletree Hotel Nashville on June 2nd. To claim the Man of the Year title, Mason has a goal of raising approximately $35,000 for the organization … at $1 a burger, that’s a lot of beef!

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Tennessee Chapter is in the midst of its 7th annual Man & Woman of the Year campaign in Nashville. For 10 weeks, candidates who have been nominated participate in a friendly fundraising competition in honor of local children survivors, Boy & Girl of the Year — Austin Chandler and Katie Vacanti-Mitchell. As Presenting Sponsor of the campaign, Doubletree Hotel Nashville will host the Grand Finale Celebration on June 2nd. The winners will be announced at this semi-formal gala of cocktails, a dinner buffet, entertainment by The CliffNotes, and an amazing silent auction — all benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. For ticket information call 615-331-2980 or email roses@tn.leukemia-lymphoma.org.

Burgers served in the Doubletree’s Restaurant 315 include the Black and Blue Burger, filled with blue cheese and served on a Kaiser roll; the Southwestern Burger, filled with Jalapeno and spices and topped with Monetary Jack, served on an onion roll and the Italian Burger, filled with roasted garlic and basil served on a focaccia roll.

Executive Chef, Michael Rigot, who crafts the burgers, has served as chef in various restaurants and hotels such as Shula’s Steak 2 in Cleveland, Nashville’s Opryland Hotel and Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA. Rigot, who graduated from Pennsylvania Culinary in Pittsburgh, PA, has worked with internationally known chefs such as Martin Yan, Emeril Lagasse and Michael Simone. When not making burgers, Rigot particularly enjoys making Cajun and Italian style cuisines and can be found weekends at the local farmers market searching for the freshest ingredients and new items to inspire his recipes.
