the First Annual Twelve Days of Christmas at Meadowood to Benefit Share Our Strength

ST. HELENA, Calif., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ — From December 11 through 22, 2005, Meadowood Napa Valley, America’s premiere wine country destination serving discerning travelers for more than 25 years, will present The Twelve Days of Christmas, a twelve-day event celebrating wine, cuisine and the world’s great holiday feasts and traditions.

Twelve of the world’s most renowned chefs will collaborate with twelve of Napa Valley’s preeminent vintners to create original holiday feasts on twelve consecutive evenings in the heart of America’s premiere wine growing region.

Pricing for The Twelve Days of Christmas starts at $500 per person, which includes one night’s lodging at Meadowood and dinner, with 20% of each reservation going to Share Our Strength, a national non-profit organization dedicated to creating a hunger-free generation. Meadowood will donate $2,000 in each of the twelve chefs’ names to Share Our Strength in addition to 20% of the lodging and dinner price. Share Our Strength was named one of the “Best Charitable Organizations” in the nation by Worth Magazine and is supported by the world’s most acclaimed chefs.

Meadowood’s celebration of the world’s great holiday feasts will include French, Indian, British, Mexican, Hawaiian, and regional American traditions. Each chef will design a menu that fits his or her creative conception of a “holiday feast,” consisting of five courses paired with Napa Valley’s finest wines. The culinary liaison and host for the guest chefs will be Meadowood Executive Chef Vincent Nattress. Table designs and decor will be re-created each evening in tribute to the culinary style of the guest chef.
