Brand New Steak Louge Now Taking Reservations
|
You've always suspected deep down that steak and lounging would go well together.
Well, now you have a place where you can have your red meat the way you've always wanted—while reclining on a white leather banquette, with a hard cocktail in front of an open glass firepit.
STK, the massively chic modern steakhouse in the MPD is now taking reservations. Think TenJune meets Wolfgang's—relax with a drink and nosh from the menu on the curved banquettes carving out the lounge area. The main bar is one of the sexiest newcomers to the scene, with its rows of giant mounted white tusks (watch your head)—or move to the more private, purple glass-encased bar for quiet conversaton.
As for that STK, Chef Todd Mark Miller (of Jean-Georges and Stephen Starr ilk) should not disappoint, as he’s known to grill a mean piece of beef. The simple menu features steaks you can order by size, just like your T-shirts (you can get your Skirt Stk small, medium or large), along with complements like Parmesan Truffle Fries and Meat & Potato Soup.
And, to spread this goodness upward, private party rooms (named after burlesque stars) upstairs will be completed this fall, along with a rooftop grill and bar come next fall.
Meat...you always knew it was a good party.
STK, 26 Little West 12th St (between Washington and 9th Ave), 646-624-2444, http://www.stkhouse.com, opening Sept 27, now taking reservations
