Continental Airlines Begins Daily Nonstop Service Between Houston and Cali, Colombia

HOUSTON, July 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Continental Airlines (NYSE:CAL) will begin new daily nonstop service tomorrow between Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Cali, Colombia, the airline's eighth South American destination and its 67th destination in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The flight will depart Houston at 4 p.m., arriving in Cali at 9 p.m. The return flight will depart Cali at 9:10 a.m., arriving in Houston at 2:05 p.m. Flights are timed conveniently to allow connections in Houston for passengers arriving from/departing for Newark Liberty International Airport in the New York City area.

Continental will utilize a Boeing 737-700 aircraft on the approximately five-hour flight to Cali, the third-largest city in Colombia, with seating for 12 passengers in First Class and 112 in Coach. Continental also offers daily nonstop service to Bogota, Colombia, from Houston and New York/Newark.

Continental offers a number of Spanish-language services, including bilingual flight attendants on many flights to Latin America, as well as bilingual airport personnel, reservations agents and signage. Passengers may make reservations in Spanish at 1-800-537-9222. Continental Airlines has been named for eight consecutive years to Hispanic Magazine's list of "100 Best Companies for Hispanics" (1998-2005).
