CuisinArt Resort & Spa Creates Perfect Recipe for Vacation

New York, June 2, 2006 – CuisinArt Resort & Spa adds sizzle to the summer and brings cool to the fall with an appealing recipe of culinary perfection and restful relaxation.

From the very beginning, CuisinArt was envisioned as a tropical paradise setting that fused world-class cuisine with a land of lavish indulgences. Our new executive chef Michael A. Goodman continues that tradition of excellence, bringing an exciting world flavor to his cooking. Goodman previously worked in locales from Manhattan hotspot Moomba to exotic ports like Bali. His most recent post was in Dubai, where he was head chef at Napa in the Madinat Jumeirah Resort. His diverse experiences along with a keen interest in the meditative art of tai chi helped form the innovative “Zen cooking” philosophy he now brings exclusively to CuisinArt.

Goodman will be among four internationally renowned chefs participating in Bocuse Caribbean 2006, an exclusive culinary experience to be held from July 22 through July 27. The six-day, five-night event, which features three celebrity chef dinners, one hands-on cooking class and one master cooking class, will be led by nouvelle cuisine master Paul Bocuse, owner of the famed l’Auberge du Pont de Collonges in Lyon, France. Bocuse is the author of seven international best-selling cookbooks, as well as the namesake of the most prestigious cooking award in the world, the Bocuse d’Or. He will also be joined by his protégé Philippe Lusseau, along with French-born chef Jean-Louis Gerin, owner of Jean-Louis in Greenwich, Connecticut and recent recipient of the James Beard Award for best chef in the Northeast.

CuisinArt has always offered a wide array of activities, and our newest offering is sure to become one of the most popular. The resort recently added a 41-foot catamaran, which offers day excursions that include snorkeling, diving and lunch on a private beach, as well as evening cruises that feature a view of the spectacular Anguillian sunset, along with unlimited champagne and tapas.

November brings with it the fourth annual Tranquility Jazz Festival, and the event’s opening night will be framed by the powder beaches and aqua waters of CuisinArt. The festival’s first performance on Thursday, November 9, will feature six-time Grammy nominated performer Nnenna Freelon. The American born jazz singer has won numerous awards in the genre and has recorded 10 albums throughout her distinguished career, the most recent being 2005’s critically acclaimed Blueprint of a Lady.
