Cupid.com Offers Members the Chance to Win a Wedding in Vegas
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- North America's fastest growing online dating service, Cupid.com, announced a contest today in which present and former members of Cupid.com and Cupid.com/PreDating can win an all-expenses-paid wedding at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Eric P. Straus, President & CEO of Cupid.com said, "We have heard from many former users telling us of their plans to marry after meeting on Cupid.com so we thought it might be fun to provide all of these happy couples with the opportunity to win a wedding."
Present and former members of Cupid.com or people who met while attending a Cupid.com/PreDating "speed dating" event are eligible to enter the contest, which runs from September 1st through September 23rd. Each couple is asked to write a 500-word essay telling of how they met. The best will be awarded a complete wedding at the famed Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The package will include airfare, lodging, an outdoor wedding ceremony replete with limousine service, flowers and music, spa and salon services, champagne breakfast in bed and gourmet dinner for the lucky couple. "We have been pleasantly surprised by the number of couples who met on Cupid.com and this is our way of celebrating." Said Bill Cloutier, Executive Vice President of Cupid.com.
The wedding ceremony itself will take place on October 24, 2005, which coincides with Cupid.com's annual personnel conference for the many field coordinators and staff that make the website and live dating events so popular. In addition to guests of the bride and groom, 50 to 60 Cupid.com people will also attend the celebration.
