From Fall's Palette to Winter's White - Delta Offers Customers a Glimpse of Colorado's Colors
Delta to begin new seasonal non-stop flights between Salt Lake City, Steamboat Springs/Hayden, Colo.
SALT LAKE CITY, June 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Whether it's the shimmering gold of the Aspens or the brilliant white of snow-covered slopes, Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) invites customers to take in all the scenic splendor of Colorado with the only non-stop service between Salt Lake City and Steamboat Springs. Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) will operate seasonal daily non-stop flights from Sept. 10 through Dec. 16, 2005, and Delta will provide mainline seasonal non-stop service daily between the two cities from Dec. 17, 2005, through April 1, 2006.
"Our Salt Lake City customers and connecting passengers will appreciate this great new opportunity to visit the Colorado Rockies and see all that the region has to offer in the fall," said Doug Blissit, vice president-Network Analysis. "And as the winter season gets under way, Delta will continue to provide daily service to 'Ski Town USA(R)'."
ASA will fly the popular Bombardier Regional Jet between the two cities, Sept. 10 through Dec. 16, 2005, and Delta plans to serve the market with the Boeing 737-300 aircraft, Dec. 17, 2005 through April 1, 2006.
Visitors to the Steamboat Springs/Hayden area in autumn will enjoy beautiful fall color and myriad festivals, events and other activities for outdoors enthusiasts. Winter offers exceptional Northwest Colorado skiing and snowboarding at the Steamboat Ski Area.
"Delta travelers from coast to coast now have expanded flight options to reach Steamboat and the incredible Northwest Colorado region, especially during the heavily sought after fall foliage and hunting seasons, as well as into the start of the 2005/2006 ski season," said Tom Sullivan, Routt County (Colo.) "With the combined power of flights via Delta's Salt Lake City hub, fall vacationers will have access to daily flight options from more than 85 destinations, in both directions - east and west."
