Delta Donates 10 Million Miles in Honor of SkyWish’s 10th Anniversary

A decade of giving serves a lifetime of needs; Nearly 1 billion miles donated in last 10 years

ATLANTA, July 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Ten years ago this summer Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) launched its successful SkyWish program, providing Delta SkyMiles members an outlet to donate miles to various charitable organizations. To date, nearly 1 billion miles have been donated to SkyWish, and Delta will donate 10 million miles (enough for 400 domestic SkySaver awards) to the program to be divided among 15 SkyWish charities in honor of this significant milestone.

“This anniversary marks a decade of overwhelming generosity from our loyal SkyMiles members,” said Jeff Robertson, managing director of the SkyMiles program. “Our customer donations over the past 10 years add up to create a remarkable total, which has impacted the lives of tens of thousands of individuals and their families worldwide. The SkyWish program is yet another example of how good goes around.”

To put the program’s results into perspective, 1 billion miles are enough to:

— Fly to the moon and back 2,100 times;
— Travel around the world 40,000 times; or
— Book 40,000 domestic SkySaver Awards

Through Sept. 30, 2005, members also can help Delta celebrate the anniversary by donating SkyMiles to any of the following charities:

— AID Atlanta
— American Red Cross
— Boys & Girls Clubs of America
— CARE
— Children’s Miracle Network
— Fisher House Foundation
— Habitat for Humanity International
— Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
— Make-A-Wish Foundation
— March of Dimes
— Shepherd Center
— Special Olympics
— UNICEF
— United Negro College Fund
— United Way of America

The donated miles may be redeemed by the charity for Award Tickets for travel needs. Donations can be made in any amount above a 5,000-mile minimum. Delta will match 1,000 miles for every 5,000 miles donated to CARE, Make-A- Wish Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation International, The United Way of America and United Way International.

Members can visit delta.com/skywish to view the list of charities and ways to donate. Donations may be made via e-mail at delta.bids@delta.com, by calling 1-800-325-3999 or via FAX at 404-773-1945.
