These Dog-Friendly Large Cities Make Great Places to Visit With Your Pup; Coming in June -- DogFriendly.com's 2005 Top 10 Dog-Friendly Resorts
POLLOCK PINES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/16/2005 -- DogFriendly.com (http://www.dogfriendly.com) announced its 2005 list of the Top 10 dog-friendly destination cities in the United States and Canada. DogFriendly.com annually compiles this list for people who want to take their dogs with them on vacation. This year there is a separate list for larger cities and resort areas. The rankings are determined by the DogFriendly.com staff and take into account the number and quality of dog-friendly accommodations, transportation, availability of interesting things to do with your dog and outdoor restaurants that allow dogs.
1. Chicago -- Stay in an upscale hotel, take a boat tour, visit Navy Pier, enjoy the parks. Chicago has lots to do with your four-legged pal.
2. Vancouver -- Visit Historic Gastown and Granville Island. Take your leashed dog on the local trains and buses. Visit nearby Victoria.

10. San Antonio -- View the Alamo from outside with your dog, stroll the Riverwalk and visit Market Square marketplace for some shopping and a meal.
